Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my site! Here you will find my books for sale and blog. You can learn more about me professionally and personally. And, I hope we will be able to connect!

Writing, drawing, and connecting with people have always kept my heart's tempo. I believe in people and the power behind storytelling: telling our own and listening to others.

My mission in writing children's books is to tell empowering stories that are educational, playful, and supportive for children and families.

To me, serving children means honoring the unique individual before me as well as their family and community. It also means searching for, building, and pointing at bridges of hope and transformation.

So I say to you, it's a big world and I'm sure glad you're in it.

Summary: Little Bird and Caterpillar learn how to change “what if” worries to “what if” statements, which help them fly.

ISBN: 979-8-9993543-0-3

Anxiety is natural, healthy, and normal, and we all experience it because it can be really, really helpful! In The What If Woes, we explore worry that is not helpful and actually a big problem. Little Bird and Caterpillar are trapped by worries that start with "what if." To break free, they learn how to change their "what if" worries to "what is" statements. Children can learn this cognitive coping skill to help manage anxiety and be confident in their strengths.

This book is mindful not to teach children that the goal of anxiety management is to never feel worried or uncomfortable or that feeling anxious is "bad," but to normalize anxiety, to teach the difference between unhelpful and helpful worries, and to empower self-confidence and sense of capability by using relaxation and critical thinking strategies.

This book is great for children ages 6 through 12 and is helpful for children experiencing any level of anxiety. Children will develop socioemotional awareness and regulation skills.
